If your router is not listed on this site or in the programs I can add them!
By adding your router I can create all the guides, screenshot databases and have your router work in my programs.

Port Forwarding Guide
For automatic port forwarding try Simple Port Forwarding

Step 1.

Some routers & modems work best with port forwarding if you have a static local IP.
Manually set your network interface card ( NIC ) to use a static ip address.
You can also download my FREE Simple Static IP tool to set it for you.

Step 2.

Open your favorite web browser and input your routers ip address in the address bar.
Please note that you must have the http:// in order to connect to your router/modem properly.

 

Need help finding you router IP address? Click here

Step 3.

Enter the routers password here and click the OK button.

If you don't know it you can check our list of default router and modem password list here.

If you have changed it and don't remember it you may have to reset your device to factory default using the reset button on most routers.

Step 4.

Once logged into your router click on the "Firewall" link on the left of the page.

Step 5

Once the page loads click on "Port Forwarding" listed under "Firewall" on the left.

Now check the "Enable Port Forwarding" box.

For "IP Address" enter the IP address of the computer you want to forward to.

For "Protocol" select the protocol you want to use.

For "Port Range" enter the port(s) you want to forward.
Example: 2100 - 2200 for a range, OR 2100 - 2100 for a single port

For "Comment" give your rule a name.

Now click the "Apply Changes" button to save the new rule.

Repeat Step 5 to add more rules.

Once logged into your router click on the "Advanced" tab on the top of the page.

Step 5
Once the page loads click the "Virtual Server" link at the left of the page.

Now for "Enabled" select "Yes".

For "Name" give your rule a name.

For "Destination IP" enter the IP address of the computer you wish to forward port(s) to.

For "Protocol Type" select the protocol you want.

For "Port Start - End" enter the port(s) you want to forward.
Example 2100 - 2200 for a range, OR 2100 - 2100 for a single port.

Now click the "Apply" Button.

Repeat Step 5 to add more rules.

Now we will be working under the "Port Forwarding" heading.

Note: If your lists of rules are filled up, then you may have to click the link "Show more rows" in order to add new rules to your router.

Now check the "Enable" box.

For "Local IP Adr." enter the IP address of the computer you wish to forward the port to.

For "Start Port" enter the port you wish to forward.

For "End Port" enter the port you wish to forward.
Example: Start Port: 2100 End Port: 2200 for a range, OR Start Port: 2100 End Port: 2100 for a single port.

For "Protocol" select the protocol you want to use.

Repeat Step 5 to add more rules.

Click the "Apply" button at the end of the list to save your settings.
